We booked excursion to Tsarskoje Selo for 6 people via Ostwest's website. Confirmation came the next day and guide Svetlana met us in hour hotel. She knew everything and we spent information packed 5 hours learning so much about past and also present in St. Petersburg.

About the Area: The apartment is located in the center of the city, on the Fontanka River embankment.The central street of St. Petersburg, Nevsky Prospekt is within 15 minutes walk from the house. Some other places of interest, such as Catherine Garden, the Philharmonic Society, the Jazz Philharmonic Hall and the well-known shopping centre “Gostiny Dvor” are within 20 minutes walk from the house. Just next to the house there is a good supermarket with all kinds of food and drinks, working from early morning. The area has many restaurants, bars and other places of entertainment: Japanese restaurant “Kioto” (Fontanka Emb., 77), two restaurants representing Mexican cuisine – “La Cucaracha” (Fontanka emb., 39) & “La Vida Loca” (Gorokhovaya 39), restaurant “Rossi’s Club” (Zodchego Rossi 1/3), fast-food restaurants – "McDonalds“(Nevsky 45) and “U Teschi na Blinah” (Gorokhovaya 43) – to name but a few.

The Accommodation Details: The flat was completely renovated in 2003. Metal door and triple glazing windows protect from the noise and temperature. The flat has a view of the river. It’s rooms (a living room and a bedroom) furnished with 1 double bed with 2 bed-side tables, 1 comfortable fold-out sofa (for the extra sleeping space), a wardrobe, a dining table, chairs, arm-chairs, a TV-set, music center. The flat has internet access. The kitchen corner has top of the range cooking facilities. The bathroom has a water heater ensuring a hot water supply throughout a year. The total floor area is 55 sq m.
